Private beta
Incus is an experimental VMBARS tool for residency applicants who want sharper, more useful feedback on their personal statements without handing authorship over to AI. It helps clarify specialty motivation, strengthen narrative structure and evidence, identify repetition or missing material, and preserve the experiences and voice that are actually yours.
Bring the residency personal statement you are actively working on.
Share your specialty, target length or constraints, career direction where relevant, and the concerns you already have about the statement.
Optional context can include your CV, biography, prior writing, relevant experiences, recommendation letters, notes, or other material that helps the tool understand you rather than treating the statement in isolation.
Incus looks at specialty motivation, specificity, reflection, narrative coherence, professional identity, voice, redundancy, missing evidence, and paragraph-level function.

Incus is not a residency personal-statement ghostwriter. It should not fabricate or embellish. It helps you pressure-test and improve your own story rather than substitute a generic one.
Incus is currently free in private beta. In return, we ask testers for candid feedback about what helped, what did not, what felt generic or inaccurate, and what they actually used in a revision.
Request beta access
The test group is intentionally small. A request does not guarantee access, but the context helps us route the right applicants into the current learning cycle.
The current prototype runs through ChatGPT. Access instructions will explain how to use it and where to share application materials.
