Mallet works across disciplines that define value differently. His through-line is a belief that consequential decisions improve when the people affected, the tradeoffs involved, and the evidence required are made explicit.
How do we create value that is rigorous enough to survive contact with the people, incentives, institutions, and consequences a decision actually touches?
After earning Yale degrees in mechanical engineering and economics, Mallet worked in healthcare investment banking at UBS and in private equity at Thomas H. Lee Partners, Kohlberg & Company, and Ariel Alternatives. He also served as a portfolio-company board observer.
His earliest health research included developing and testing a microfluidics-based prototype for diabetes screening. He is now completing premedical coursework and contributing to health research as he prepares for a transition to medicine.
His service has included Yale's For Humanity campaign, Yale Alumni Fund governance, SEO's National Leadership Council, and leadership communities focused on civic responsibility, access, and long-term contribution.
Mallet's service has focused on alumni engagement, leadership development, access, education, and community.
